I'd back Wigginton. He can play the OF, 3B, 2B, 1B. And do it with some pop.

He's going to be way too expensive for us.

I have no idea what he's going to cost, but one thing is certain, guys are going to be signing for a lot less than they thought they were going to sign for back in November.

Wiggington will be too expensive and will go some place where he has a better chance of playing time. He certainly would look good on our bench though.

Wiggington got non tendered by the Astros because they had no money to pay out this off season so it isn't as though he is out there looking for or expecting a big payday. He is probably waiting to see where Hudson signs and how much he gets before he does anything.

It's possible money won't be as much of an issue now that the ownership issue has been settled.

If I were Wiggington, I'd like my chances of being able to win the starting 2nd base job out of ST if my competition was Fontenot and Miles.

If you're willing to live with Ty Wigginton's defense at second base, you might as well move Soriano back to second and sign Adam Dunn to play LF.

Wigginton would be a below-Kent-level defender at 2B.

Without Cedeno, I'd think Uribe might be in line to join the Cubs. He could back up at 3rd, short, and 2nd. Not supporting it, but it seems logical.

if it's purely backup, and starting less than 10 games, i'm not opposed to it. he does have some pretty decent pop, something we're definitely lacking.
