is this guy tall? he better be

Six foot, 185.

he ran a sub 4.4 at the combine.

its a good 5th rd pick, but a stud OG would have been nice

eta: 4.34

I'm not gonna complain. Too much good has happened. The Bears are going after WR's here after ignoring the position for so long. I imagine some of those lineman will be left in 14 picks.

Don't sleep on Knox. He's a pretty good talent. 4.28 at the combine. Still shoulda gone OL here, but there are still some guys on the board with another pick 13 away. Why JA refuses to take OL early unless he has to is beyond me.

too many good OL left to make that pick there, IMO.

That may be the reason they drafted him. They felt they could wait until the next pick to get a OL.

much like last round, if one of the studs falls to us i'll be fine with this pick. he sounds like hester but with more reliable hands.

Anyone know what's up with Meredith. He's sliding hard. If he or Robinson is still available when we pick next, I guess Angelo scores again.

i think this guy may be instantly the fastest player in bears history, ahead of hester.

like i said, i like xavier fulton, a lot. he's a tackle, but he's a guy that they can slide in there at LT, eventually and not have to move williams.

Whoever said the Bears zero in on a few schools and draft from there may be on to something. Seems like the last 5 years, they've only scouted Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Texas, and schools with unter 10K enrollment.

i don't know. maybe comparitively, but people have gotten faster since gault played. besides, gault was a decent receiver.

I don't know but he'd be a great pick. Fits in with the Bears recent OL moves to get bigger. He profiles as a OG, but is OT size.

No linemen picked since we picked last. None of Kiper's best available are getting picked lately.

I read somewhere that Robinson has weight/work ethic issues.

I read somewhere that Robinson has weight/work ethic issues.

From his bio at nfl.com

"Robinson enrolled at Oklahoma in 2005. He was the line's "sixth man" as a true freshman, appearing in 10 games as a reserve offensive guard, but also saw action at left offensive tackle earlier in that season. Weight issues (played at 360 pounds, but was as much as 380) were the reason keeping him on the bench that year, but an intense 2006 offseason training program saw him arrive for fall camp 30 pounds lighter."

He's at 329 now.

I just want linemen, period. We have a QB to protect for the next 10 years.
