Oooooohhhhhhh....... the stats are sortable now. That's awesome. Seriously, that would've come in handy in a lot of debates I've had over the years.

When does this go into effect?

I see they went ahead and knocked out Todd Zeile's page before the masses bombarded their email accounts with demands. Heady move.

The target is for some time in the Spring, hopefully before the start of the regular season.

I will admit though that I'm not much of a fan of the tight stats. They're too close together. If the table cells were spread out evenly with some space so it'd be easier to read it'd be much better. But that's a minor gripe, everything else looks fantastic. And the inclusion of the extensive statistics for each category is stellar.

Oh, and I also just noticed that if you hold your mouse over each stat category it will define it and also tell you how it is calculated. That's fantastic.

Sigh. The posts should come really fast and really furious now, from everyone. I can't wait for the season to start.

Lots of fun for all.

Eh not really. I still accomplished whatever it was I was trying to say in those debates without it. I was just referring to the fact that it would save a lot more time and exert a lot less effort into some research. Especially now with the added SABR statistics

Looks like they borrowed the aesthetics from Basketball Reference (or they both borrowed from the same source).

The Kid

The Round Mound of Rebound

Wow, you are correct. And the amount of spacing between columns on the B-Ball Reference pages is perfect. I hope the final baseball reference pages have similar spacing. They're too close together right now in the sample

Tremendous upgrade.

This is kind of funny -- just a couple days ago I started writing a script in Greasemonkey that was going to turn all of the content into tabular data... thank God I didn't get too far into that, it looked like it was going to be a lot of work.
