According to MLB.com's Alyson Footer, the Astros signed third baseman Aaron Boone to a one-year deal today. Boone may get a chance to platoon with Geoff Blum at third base.

 

 

Looks like the Astros aren't planning on competing this year. Their organization has turned into a joke really quickly. I've got a front row seat fro the implosion.

i read an article the other day about drayton mclane and he was basically saying the fans don't need to worry and they need to remember how good they were in the second half and that's what he expects them to be like all year next season. okay drayton

It was all the hurricane's fault that the Astros didn't win the World Series. It had nothing to do with the stubborn ignorance of their owner to refuse to pay attention to anyone with common sense. Nothing. 8-[

I don't like the Astros, but if they could ever figure out how to play their entire year like they have the last couple of seasons in the second half, they would definiely be a force to be reckoned with.

At least the Astros are just taking low dollar gambles. I couldn't imagine being an Orioles fan and trying to deal with Cesar for 2 years at top dollar.

 

You never know, stranger things have happened. Maybe Pettite gets annoyed with the Yankees and decides to help out his old club. lol
