Made it to the championship in one league. McNabb teased me with 5 straight failed redzone trips. Good thing I have Akers too. Won by 4 points on his 4th Q TD. Lost in semis in another (stupid Dallas Clark).

I don't really have any tough decisions, just wanted it known!

I'm going to start Michael Turner vs. MIN and Steven Jackson vs. SF over D'Angelo Williams vs. NYG.

I think DeAngelo Williams is a must-start at this point, even against the Giants. He has been on fire the past 5 or 6 weeks. I would start him over Steven Jackson if it were my team.

Yeah, I'm actually starting to consider that. Jackson outscored him last week, though, but DA is more of a must-start at this point. I have til Sunday to decide.

Been killing myself over who to start at qb.

Warner or Cassell. They play each other in NE.

Also, would Foster starting at StL take Choice's flex spot vs. Balt at home.

I've always been suspicious of Warner, even though he's obviously been a horse this year. I'd go with Cassel at home.

I'd also go with Foster. The Rams defense is gutless against the run.

gracias

No problem. I still need convincing that I should play Lance Moore over Edwards. I paid to pick the guy up. In my league after 10 FA pickups you have to pay in $6 for each move. Cash goes to the winner. So I might get it back. But still. Since I paid for that mofo he has turned in two crappy weeks.

I'd go Moore. better QB, playing a worse defense. I bet he gets back into the mix.

Touchdown! What I meant to say, was... I love you Dominic!
I have both Rhodes and Manning on my team, so that touchdown was double sweet. \:D/

Unfortunately, since they underachieved against the Lions last week I'm playing for 3rd place rather than 1st. :(

Wayne came up huge for both my championship game and semi game.

Now the gutsy part...I benched Addai (thankfully) before I went to work bc I'm banking on Gore being ready come Sunday. If not I'm thinking about Benson vs. Cleveland rather than LT vs. Tampa. Am I crazy?

Also, I'm contemplating Schaub over McNabb in my semi-final game. Oakland doesn't have a lot to play for and Houston is really starting to hit their groove. Anybody else with me or am I out on my own limb for that one as well?

As I mentioned earlier, I'm playing Schaub over Eli. I think he's gonna go off, and the way Andre Johnson is playing, both could have a huge game.

Team I am facing had Manning, Rhodes and Vinatieri last night. I had Clark so that helps, but I am now down 49 - 16

I have

Cutler

Smith

Colston

Peterson

Brown

Choice is my most likely W/R over Carnell Williams and Devin Hester.

Here is the question though

Philly D at Washington or

Dallas D home against Baltimore

Yeah, plus I have Andre Johnson playing in my semifinal game, so that could be the difference. I think I'm just going to bench McNabb, that way I won't have that weird feeling of having to somewhat pull against my Redskins.

I'd go with Philly as well. With the exception of last week when he looked just average (vs. the Bengals), Campbell has been downright bad since October ended. I'm afraid Philly may have a field day with him.

Wow that's a deep league. I don't think I could ever wrap my head around something like that. I just looked at the ESPN projections. I should win. Here's the matchup, my team on the left:

Schaub vs. Romo (ESPN advantage Schaub)

Peterson vs. Stephen Jackson (Peterson)

Forte vs. Turner (Forte)

Jennings vs. Steve Smith (Jennings)

Moore vs. Roddy White (White)

Gates vs. Gonzalez (Gonzalez)

Bironas vs. Josh Brown (Bironas)

Bears D vs. Jets D (Jets D)

ESPN has Forte, Jennings and Bironas as #1 at their positions this week. They also have Gonzalez as the top-projected TE. I'm still waiting for that beast of a game from Gates. I really like some of the matchups. Romo gets Baltimore, for one.

Heh. I hope you lose badly!

My matchup

McNabb vs. Cutler

S. Jackson vs. Barber/Choice

Turner vs. Dunn/ Kevin Smith/ Jacobs

R White vs. T Owens

Boldin vs. R Moss

T Gonzalez vs. DeSean Jackson (start flex WR/TE)

Akers vs. Crosby

Redskins vs. Giants

Obviously Jacobs and Barber are his starters if healthy. But the CBS guru (who sucks by the way), projects Dunn and Smith as his best 2 RBs this week.

Projection: Me- 148.2, Him- 124.1. I have the edge at every position except projected 1 point worse at QB and DEF.

So, Boldin is out. And just like Arizona, I'm going to have to start Steve Breaston in his place. My opponent has decided on Kevin Smith and Brandon Jacobs.

I hate fantasy football. :)

I'm playing against Romo. That clown does nothing for 3 1/2 quarters, and then Baltimore has to keep scoring and giving him a chance to fling the ball around and he ends up with a pretty good night. Terrible.

Posted
Yeah, so my team completely crapped the bed. McNabb was horrible and Breaston had 1 catch for 6 yards. My team was projected for 139 points and put up a resounding 81. A 21-5 regular season and a near 300 points better than everyone in the league down the drain. The team I lost to beat me for the 3rd time this season, my 3 lowest scoring weeks of the year.

Sorry man. I am down 26 points. His only remaining player is Steve Smith tonight. Then I have Forte, Jennings and Bears D tomorrow night. If I only needed 26 points, I'd feel pretty good. But if Smith puts up 15 or 20, it gets to be tough sledding. I got pretty lucky that none of his guys really went off. They were all solid, but nothing great. I got subpar days from Schaub, A-Pete, Lance Moore (ugh) and Bironas. If not for Gates I'd already be toast.

i was facing my old roommate in the finals of a league. he had some guys do better than projected (colston, antonio bryant, gostkowski) plus romo pulled a solid score out his ass (as mentioned above). mcnabb and kevin walter crapped the bed for me, so i was down almost 30 points going into the sunday night game. i had deangelo williams left and he had the giants defense left.... \:D/

Steve Smith didn't run wild last night. I can't believe it. He had 58 yards on the first drive and I think only got 10 more the rest of the game. Which means I live!

Forte, Jennings and Bears D need 33.48 points for the title! In my league their combined average weekly score is 39.73. So just average guys. Don't need you to go crazy. :D

After losing last year by one god damn point, blowing through the league this year sure did feel good.

I'm up by 42 points, and he only has greg olsen left... feeling pretty confident. I'm going to end up with 1637 points, which has got to be a near record for this league.

Posted

As long as Greg Jennings does not drop 25 points on me I have won.

If you had told me that Peterson, Brown, and Steve Smith would not get to 20 between them I would been sure I would lose.

Thanks for the assist in picking Philly 9 pts better than 4 for Dallas.

I also owe a thank you to Belichick for not calling on Sammy Morris on the goal line.

Probably the biggest thanks should go to my opponent for dropping Washington 13 pts for Arizona -5.

I'm up 33 points with Jennings going tonight and my opponent has Matt Forte. If I lose I'm going to be pissed... but the Bears will have likely blown out the Packers, so not all bad.

You're safe. I don't know how your league is set up, but 33 points in mine is 150 yards and 3 TDs. And that assumes Jennings gets zip. Won't happen.

But you bring up an interesting point, one that comes up in fantasy all the time. I want Jennings to have a good game and have the Bears win. With Forte and the Bears D helping. I win $700 if I win tonight. That's a lot of scratch. I don't want it to come down to the Bears losing though.
