It was a penalty. He hit a WR who could not defend himself (which is a dumb rule, but its still a rule). But he should not be fined for it.

Very Very random question? I never used to like this guy always thought he was annoying, but what ever happen to Sean Salisbury? I feel like for a 3 years span he was the go to NFL guy and then he just disappeared

Looks like his contract with ESPN was up in Feb. and they decided not to renew it. Apparently Salisbury was upset because more popular athletes were paid more than he was even though he was a better broadcaster/analyst than some were.

I actually love Mark Schlereth...but he's not even on that much anymore. I think he's like a full time character on that Soap Opera that they always talk about on Mike and Mike

Didn't see this posted, but Plaxico is done for the season. The Giants placed him on the non-football injury list and suspended him for four games for "conduct detrimental to the team."

 

I wouldn't be shocked to see him playing for another team next year - if he can avoid prison.

 

The New York Giants fined and suspended Burress on Tuesday for four games -- the rest of the regular season -- after he accidentally shot himself in the right thigh over the weekend at a Manhattan nightclub. The team also placed him on the reserve non-football injury list, which means the wide receiver couldn't come back for the playoffs, either.

 

Police and prosecutors still want to talk to a pair of Burress' teammates, Antonio Pierce and Ahmad Bradshaw, who were at the club when the shooting occurred but insist they did nothing wrong.

 

Not good stuff for the Giants.

With both Dallas and Philly likely interested in him, though, would the Giants release him? Or would they try to trade him?
