Getting DeRosa would make Jason Donald expendable to Philly, and I'd think he'd be heading to SD in place of Ronny Cedeno. Nothing really to back that up, but moving DeRosa just might keep Ronny Cedeno around.

I saw somewhere that Jack Wilson was being considered a big piece in a trade for Delmon Young. Young has about as much value as Rich Hill right now. DeRosa might very well be worth more to the Phillies than Young, especially factoring in his likely Type A status after next season if he qualifies primarily as a 2B.

Pie (then Olsen), Marshall, Vitters, Cedeno, Marquis, now supposedly DeRosa all for a guy that will be a factor in about 34 games next year? I want this trade to happen but damn, for a team behind the 8 ball like the Pods supposedly are, they sure are driving the price up quite a bit.
