Seriously, what has everyone done with this guy? he has been driving my crazy all season and I know i'm not the only person who used a top five pick on him. Unfortunately for me, my other running backs suck so much (McGahee, Stewart, Injured Sammy Morris, and Mewelde Moore) that I have still been playing this guy. Nobody would deal me a RB from my glut of WR either so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Coming from a Colts fan and a frustrated Joseph Addai owner in one of my leagues, I definitely feel your pain on this. The combination of the Colts offensive line juggles and Addai playing hurt has really killed his production this year. I've been trying to bench him in that league and have been able to do it some weeks, but still have had to play him in others.

I will give a bright side though. Addai was running better against Pittsburgh then he has looked in quite a while. Now, I know he had a terrible statistical game..that's to be expected against that defense. But he definitely had some quicker cuts than we saw the week before against the Patriots.

Also, the next 6 weeks Addai faces the 23rd, 13th, 26th, 25th, 31st, and 20th rushing defenses.

That's a far cry from the 7 games he has played this year against these rushing defenses (although the Baltimore game doesn't really count): 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 12th, 20th, 23rd. It's no shock that his 2 decent games out of those 7 came against Jax (ranked 20th) and Houston (ranked 23rd). So Addai has come out of a brutal schedule and is now about to face a bunch of teams who are a lot weaker against the run, while at the same time the Colts offensive line is slowly getting better as the season goes along.

Now, here's the downside. Dungy has continued to say that Addai is the starter. But when the game was on the line against the Steelers on Sunday, Rhodes was the guy. So that's something to watch out for. But I think Addai will definitely have better numbers in the 2nd half than the first half.

My running backs have killed me all season. My first three picks in the draft have been busts (Addai, Braylon Edwards, Willie Parker) but I have survived and I'm sitting in 2nd place at 6-4.

Things were going smoothly until week 4. Here are the other running backs I have tried since week 4:

Chris Perry

Jonathan Stewart

Rudi Johnson

Kevin Faulk

Jamaal Charles

BenJarvis Green-Ellis

Luckily I have a strong receiving core and Jay Cutler at QB. Last week my starting RBs score ZERO points and I still won my game.

I am starting Addai this week against Houston and Green-Ellis against J-E-T-S. I am hoping next week I have Addai and Parker back full strength.

I've stuck with him. I traded for Rhodes after Addai was hurt, so I've got him if I need him. But, like cubcoltpacer said, Addai gets some bad defenses in the coming weeks. And, they usually feed him in the red zone, so even though his yardage has been abysmal, he has still got in enought to not kill me, even though I picked him 5th.

Not a good year for top picks overall, really. Tomlinson's showing his age, Westbrook has missed time, Brady done for the year, Steven Jackson is on a crappy team, etc.

And injured.

As bad as Addai has been, I'm glad at this point I skipped Jackson and went with Joseph in my draft.

Really? Jackson's still been much better than Addai this year. I picked up Jackson in my draft, but if he had been gone, I would have taken Gore over Addai. I didn't trust him this season for some reason.

Well, they've had the same number of t.d.s- so I wouldn't say Jackson's been much better (my league is heavier on scoring than yardage, though). Jackson's yardage is better, but he won't play this week while Jo has Houston and should at least get 75 and maybe a t.d. Plus, I had some Rams last year and I was afraid that team would suck bad again this year.

I also thought about Gore (and now wish that's who I'd taken), but I thought Indy would be better and San Fran worse, meaning Jo shoulda been better. Hopefully the soft schedule coming up will help Addai.

We have been temporarily rewarded!

This is just the beginning- as rotoworld says-

"The Colts have San Diego, Cleveland, Cincy, and Detroit coming on the schedule. Addai is going to help you win your fantasy league."

Manning and Harrison are going to help me win my fantasy league. The Colts' offense is getting hot at the right time.
