In a Warp way Brenly would be most logical. Milwaukee want us bad, Bob has had a front row seat, knows our pitching staff and what they need to do to get us out (like that is a big secret) But what would he do once Sheets and CC are gone?

Why can't they just watch tape to figure out how to get us out?

for every team in the NL? Bob has had conversations with the Cubs hitting coaches and pitching. His detailed knowledge would be a benefit compared to just video tapes

In other Brewer news, Seattle has named the Brewers director of scouting Jack Z there new gm. This a very big blow for the Brewers.

He's a great SD but unless the area guys and crosscheckers come with and they find someone competent, the damage won't be as great.

I'm glad we still have Brenly, but I feel bad for him. That was probably his best shot to get another managing gig.

He doesn't strike me as a terribly bright guy. I'm not surprised he isn't getting another job.

But I really like him on tv.

I hope Bob uses this for comedy's sake. Just incredibly over the top about the Brewers every time we play them. Tongue firmly planted in cheek of course, but still, get obnoxious.

That's what I am looking forward to as well. I like sarcastic, negative Bob -- when it's appropriate of course.

Saying you like OBP is like saying you like chocolate. Of course you like chocolate. The problem is that the Brewers really want that luxurious Swiss chocolate but can only afford the dry, crumbly kind that barely resembles the good stuff.

...that and Fielder keeps eating all the damn chocolate because he can't have meat.

Tyler Colvin mentioned how important his OBP is twice in his first interview after getting drafted by the Cubs. He then went out and walked 15 times in his first full season.

"And the reliever gives up the walkoff home run to Aramis Ramirez. See, that pitcher wouldn't be on the mound if I was manager."

OBP is the new black. Every team talks about it now and how important it is, and probably because every reporter who is more statistically inclined that others will always bring it up. It's not like they're gonna say OBP is a dumb stat.
