Wow I just watched the highlights of the game winning goal last night(Crosby.) How they could review that and call it a goal is beyond me. I am not like Cynosure in my anti-Crosby nature, but if the NHL keeps this up, I might start having one.

 

It was Crosby on national TV. It isn't Crosby's fault they called that a goal, or didn't suspend him for hitting someone in the back of the head and nuts while being held down... it's the NHL's... just watch the video I posted for those of you who haven't seen the "GOAL". To make it worse, it was in OT.

 

I used to really like Crosby until he started realizing he was the golden boy and started getting away with stuff he shouldn't. That being said, he is still an excellent hockey player.

 

One of the several reasons I gave up on NBA was the obvious Jordan Rules. NHL might want to realize that this kind of stuff is a turnoff to many many people. Crosby is a great player, as was Jordan, they dont need the game to be called their way to create more fans.

I thought that goal could have been called either way. It probably was a no goal but it was close.

 

The unfortunate thing is, the NHL is incredibly unpopular and they need to market something. Right now they are trying to market someone to be the next Gretsky (that seem to make hockey more mainstream). Unfortunately in doing this Crosby is going to get away with more. If it draws more people to watch then I guess it's worth it, although it is annoying to watch.

I thought that goal could have been called either way. It probably was a no goal but it was close.

 

It was a very tough call because the camera wasn't level with the ice or even on the same level as the top of the goal post. The NFL has the same problem.

yeah that's too close to overturn. if it would've been called a no-goal on the ice, it would've stood as a no-goal. there was a much, much worse call about a week ago in a kings game...i'm still not buying the nhl being biased towards crosby.

Flyers didn't get a morning skate due to the bad weather here in Chicago, leading to a delay.

 

Also, they took 4 TERRIBLE penalties in a row leading to 5 v 3 goals for the Hawks.

 

I am thoroughly impressed with the Flyers and look forward to beating you in the "STANLEY CUP FINALS???" :)

he's really good, but the jackets were excellent in front of him tonight. i can only remember one scoring chance against mason all night.
