So if Lee had a once in a decade type season, wouldnt that net him an MVP top ten vote? Also.....KRod is the MVP but third in the CYA? Sabathia is 2nd in MVP and 2nd in CYA with #1 in both cases not being the same guy?

 

And the #1 and #2 MVP picks in the NL combined for five months in the NL?

.357/.462/.653, 190 OPS+ doesn't go as far as it used to I guess...

We just can't use VORP because Heyman doesn't think there's any correlation between that and the MVP. Except for the V and the P.

Can we just file this away as another reason SI is a horrible publication? Sportsline, Foxsports, and even the homers over at ESPN all put forth superior products to SI. I don't even waste my time checking out their website anymore, it's such a joke. I haven't pulled it up in a couple of years. Hell, you get better, more objective analysis from FJM.
