I'll go first. These are the moments that I remember about the individual players:

Geovany Soto - 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game against the Brewers

Derrek Lee - Knocking down a ball with his bare hands, and then getting the out at first. I forgot what game that was.

Ryan Theriot - I was there at the game against the Reds where he hit his only HR of the season.

Mark DeRosa - Go ahead HR against the Rockies to complete the epic comeback

Aramis Ramirez - so many moments, but for me it's the grand slam against the Phillies

Alfonso Soriano - Back to back multi homer games

Jim Edmonds - Game tying HR against the Braves (HEY HEY!!!)

Kosuke Fukudome - Go-ahead single in the top 9th against Saito (I know this isn't the popular choice, but I love that AB)

Reed Johnson - THE catch against the Nationals

Mike Fontenot - Go ahead HR against the Giants

Ronny Cedeno - Grand slam against the Mets

Henry Blanco - walk off single against the Cards

Daryle Ward - Go ahead 3-run HR off Marlins closer Kevin Gregg

Carlos Zambrano - NO HITTER!!

Rich Harden - Absolutely overpowering Conor Jackson

Ted Lilly - jacking up Yadier Molina

Jason Marquis - Yelling at the home plate ump

Ryan Dempster -Striking out the side in the All Star game

Kerry Wood - Striking out Matt Kemp to beat the Dodgers

Carlos Marmol - Fighting off wildness and 3 BB's to retire the side against the Marlins and earn the save.

I hope to replace these with better moments in the upcoming month!

Ryan Theriot - I was there at the game against the Reds where he hit his only HR of the season.

Haha, i was at this game too and I remember the person next to me was so excited because she thought Theriot was the man and was an awesome power/home-run hitter. Then again, the same person kept asking why Derrek Lee was batting right when she swore that he batted left earlier (turned out she confused him with Griffey who was wearing #42 like Derrek Lee in honor of Jackie Robinson).

nice thread, i'll have to add mine later.

Soriano's left field adventures.

Theriot's grit.

D Lee's DPs.

Rammy's clutchness.

Jimmy ballgame's bashing of the Cards.

Reed's flat brim on the sick catch in Washington.

Geovany Soto.

Fukubomb on Opening Day, sending me 10 feet in the air.

DeRo- winning HR against the Rockies and slide to beat the Giants in Harden's debut.

Fontenot's double against the Fish to put us in first...for good.

Ronny with the bases loaded.

Hank's seeing-eyes game winner.

D Ward's clutch game on Mother's Day in the rain.

Z's no hitter.

Harden's debut...10 K.

Lilly's same, boring face. Even when Edmonds preserved his no-hitter.

The Typical Marquis Start.

Watching ESPN's telecast on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Sunday and Demp pitching at home (I live in New York).

Marmol coming in to get Houston's heart of the order, runners at 1st and 3rd.

Woody's deuce on Fatty.

I love this team.

The Standing O that Edmonds got yesterday when he came in to pinch hit. How improbable was that at the beginning of the year?!?!?!
Posted

Soriano - unfortunately, his dropped catch on May 25th cause I was there... hopefully he wipes this out in October

Ramirez - grand slam against the Phillies (I was sick as a dog this night and it made me feel better)

Lee - game winning double in the crucial Sabathia/Lilly game at Miller Park

Edmonds - the 2 HR game against the Cards

Soto - his 0-4 with 4 Ks and then being happy about catching a shutout

DeRosa - his streak of 4 or 5 games with a homerun

Johnson - the catch

Theriot - him hugging DeRosa as Mark just slid in for the GW run against the Giants

Fukudome - opening day

Fontenot - his HR against the Phillies to get the rally started

Ward - 3 run bomb at Florida

Pitchers later

Geovany Soto - 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game against the Brewers

Derrek Lee - Probably his homer to lead off the 7th against the Sox in the game Aramis ended up walking off in. Or his awesome play at Philly to save the game.

Ryan Theriot - He had a 4-hit game right?

Mark DeRosa - Colorado homer

Aramis Ramirez - Gotta be the Phillies slam. If only because by then he had earned my absolute and total trust and I had a feeling something amazing was coming.

Alfonso Soriano - The Cards game where he was awful, gave away runs, but then hit the game-tying homer in the 9th in a game we lost anyway

Jim Edmonds - I was at the Baltimore series where he had I think 7 hits or something, including 2 big flies

Kosuke Fukudome - Obviously Opening Day

Reed Johnson - Giants' walk-off hit

Mike Fontenot - Atlanta homer

Ronny Cedeno - The AB he had in the first game against the Mets that ended up in a bases-loaded single

Henry Blanco - walk off single against the Cards

Daryle Ward - Go ahead 3-run HR off Marlins closer Kevin Gregg

Carlos Zambrano - No-no

Rich Harden - His first start.

Ted Lilly - Yadi gets the business

Jason Marquis - Probably the start at LA on ESPN where he was pretty good and it was part of a string of good starts

Ryan Dempster - Complete game against Atlanta

Kerry Wood - Probably the nasty pitch to get Prince in this last Brewers' series

Carlos Marmol - The All Star Game that reminded me of what he was, but also the Giants meltdown. Also the game at Houston where he came in with men on 2nd and 3rd no one out and I knew he wouldn't let anyone score. And he didn't.

Bob Howry - Getting the win in extras..I can't remember what game, I think the Blanco walk-off game, where he pitched a good inning.

Jon Lieber - The "Bench/Morgan/Larkin homered" game

ETA: I keep forgetting Jeff Samardzija. I'll remember his save against Florida above all else for him but obviously I've enjoyed his being a Cub this year.

Carlos Marmol - His slider

Neal Cotts-Not sucking as much as I thought he could

Chad Gaudin-Realizing that we won the trade with Oakland

Bob Howry-Seeing his name become the filter for a swear word.

this thread would be better if it was "what will you remember about each poster this season?"

Yeah but they have that word filter that will block a lot of the words I am thinking :-).

soriano- 3 hr game at cincy

hoffpauir- not going after an easily catchable ball in tampa, right in front of me

derosa- selling out and diving after a ball the next batter up

kosuke- opening day. and not going for the score on trevor percival's wild pitch. and him taking strike 3ERRRRRRRRRRRball 4 to end that game

cotts- hating his guts when he came in and promptly gave up a home run in tampa

marmol- bb, hit, bb, hbp, bb pulled for...

eyre- grand slam

the horriffic thing is that other than opening day, i was present for all of those games. is it a bad thing that most of my memories are pretty negative?

Holy [expletive] [expletive], I didn't know we had an automatic word filter until now. I thought people were just saying "Howry" and "soapdropping" as minced oaths, and were typing it in themselves.

I'll try

Soto - Hr against Milwaukee

Lee - His 60th double play

DeRosa - HR against the Rockies? Hope I'm right because it involves Edmonds.

Theriot - Meh. He's been good but nothing stands out, outside of what someone mentioned of his horrible base running.

Edmonds - The raising of the arm he does when DeRosa his the HR against the Rockies (B. His HR on throw back day when Len had the horrendous HR call)

Johnson - Catch against the Nats

Soriano - The hop and DL stint

Ward - HR against the Marlins

Hilll - Hiting a HR against the Redhawks while I was there.

Blanco - Winning hit vs the CArds

Cedeno - The slam

Hoffpauir - Hitting a double against the OKC REdhawks while I was there.

Fotennot - Seeing his routine with Z that involves whack-a-moke and piggy back.

Zambrano - The No No, but especially the foul pop up he caught with pure hatred in the 6th or 7th.

Dempster - All star game

Marquis - Grand slam vs Mets

Marmol - Being amazing numerous times

Marshall - HR vs Cards?

Shark - His debut

Cotts - Don't know, he's a lefty though, i guess that's good

Lilly - Running Molina over

Harden - His debut

Howry - Giving up runs every time he pitches

Wood - the K against Fielder and unfortunately opening day

Gaudin - Knowing Hendry somehow fleeced Beane
