I'll say this: The Cubs are the best team in the National League and SHOULD win the pennant.

 

I will not say, however, that they WILL win it.

I believe the Cubs are the best team in the NL. I give them a 60% chance to win any given series.

 

Thus, the Cubs have a 36% chance to win both series. The field gets 64%.

 

It has nothing to do with negativism, curses or anything like that. It's simply the playoff format that doesn't give the best teams enough time to establish their superiority.
