Have to admit, the Astros are really getting screwed with the rescheduling from the Hurricane and all. Its a shame it had to happen when they were on such a great stretch and had put themselves back into contention for the wildcard and all. But having said that, good teams take advantage of favorable circumstances.

I heard the Cubs offered to play Saturday and Sunday in Tampa. Is that true?

If so, the Astros owner is an idiot for not taking them up on that. He gave the Cubs 2 extra home games.

It's a crappy situation for the Astros, no doubt, but they had plenty of time to heed evacuation orders and just get out of town with their families on Thursday. They probably would have had plenty of leverage in where to go had they just planned on doing so from the start. I have sympathy for the personal impact the hurricane had on them, but none for the baseball impact. That's also the one angle anyone in the media has failed to take.

Oh well, let's make it four in a row. I wonder if Theodore will hear any mock boos when he gives up his first hit.

I think McClane wanted to wait until Saturday to see if they could still play in Houston. By then, it was too late to get 2 games in Tampa, since the Rays are playing today. So, then, it was down to Milwaukee and Atlanta, really, and Atlanta was due to get rain yesterday and today, so Milwaukee made the most sense.

It's too bad for Houston, but really anywhere they'd play the game neutrally, it'd be a virtual home game for the Cubs.

Drayton McLane is either a scumbag or very, very dumb.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and conclude that he is merely stupid.

Hmm, not seeing that on DirecTV. Its just bad SD quality, despite being WS.

Why are DeRosa and Theriot off? Havent they had enough days off recently?

Theriot 1-6 lifetime vs. Moehler

DeRosa 1-7 lifetime vs. Moehler

Fontenot 2-6 lifetime vs. Moehler

Cedeno 2-6 lifetime vs. Moehler

Just my guess. I know its a really small sample size, but when theres odd playing decisions matchups are the first thing I look at.
