Lou in his post game said that he wanted to keep Big Z around 90 pitches...He said if he was going to pull him he "was going to make Alan (Tramell) do it" ...I love Lou!

Let us not forget...

GEOVANY SOTO.

I missed the game due to work, and only caught a 90 second clip right after the game was done on the radio saying the Cub won and Z was the player of the game. I felt good enough with those bits of news until I got home and saw what happened.

Wow.

I feel warm and funny.

Cubs' backup catcher Koyie Hill races toward the mound to high-two Carlos Zambrano after his no-hitter.

Awesome.

Does anybody know how to watch the alternate (Len/Bob in this case) broadcast on archived mlb.tv games? I have mlb.tv premium and I watched the WGN broadcast live, but once it's archived I can only find one version.

The first 10 games, 7 innings of the 2003 post-season combine as a big fat first for me.

Then this, then wood, then Sammy.

Well, I think I'll head over to WhiteSoxInteractive to read what they wrote, including that Z's no-hitter doesn't count, because:

1. Cubs suck.

2. He had too many days off since his last start.

3 The Astros were too distraught to play because of Ike.

4. The Astros had their home field advantage taken away.

5. Z points to the sky too often.

6. Z's no-no was not as good as Buehrle's.

7. The umpire was paid off by MLB 'cause there's a conspiracy for the Cubs to win this year.

8. 20K+ Cub fans drove up to Milwaukee 'cause they just wanna drink beer and don't know anything about baseball.

9. Oh, and Cubs suck.

1. Z's No-hitter. It's something I've never seen in 29 years as a Cubs fan. Only two other possibilities for that distinction. And it happened before 20,000 true die-hards. Special.

2. Woody's 20k game. It was eerie how similar it felt watching Z against the 'Stros tonight.

3. Going up 3-1 on Fla. in '03. They wouldn't do THAT to their fans...would they?

4. Clinching the '89 division title. My official induction into the hall of Cubby heartbreak.

5. Beating Atl. in '03. A postseason win IS possible.

6. Sosa's 61st/62nd against the Brewers in '98. Powerful stuff, no matter your suspicions. The playoff win against SF would have to be a close 7th.

i remember as a kid the cubs clinching in 89. clinching last year, the day when andre dawson went crazy and threw all those bats onto the field. cubs v atl 03, trading for nomar, series vs stl in 03, huge comeback win this year... other than 03, this is my favorite. it would probably be up there with the 03 memories if the whole thing would have been televised. that bootlegged internet feed wasn't great, but still... tonight was amazing.

GEOVANNY SOTO.

Do not spell His name wrong. He will smite you for this offense.

If I actually spell it as it is, its power shall melt me.

4. Clinching the '89 division title. My official induction into the hall of Cubby heartbreak.

good call. i was really young, but i was already full immersed in cubdom, so i snuck out and watched the postgame celebration from behind my dad's recliner.

when did we clinch? i have this memory of doing it in montreal, and hearing harry caray say "the joy of victory" as the camera showed the cubs celebrating, and "and the agony of defeat" as it showed andres galaragga in the expos' dugout, but i've never been able to remember if it was true or made up.

that's funny, because i can never tell if my memory of it is real, or if its been exaggerated over the years. i remember being in the back seat of the family's station wagon while my dad and i waited for my sisters buying leotards, and it was on the radio... mitch williams probably wasn't even on that team.

Wow.

Yes you are my rival.

Yes I hate Zambrano.

Yes the Brewers are fading faster then Mets last year :(.

However,

HELLUVA outing, a no hitter is a no hitter.

Nice Job Mr. Zambrano =D>

One of the weakest walks to ever break up a perfect game, I'd bet.

He was getting squeezed that AB. He hit Pence with a pitch, though.
