Look at the Mets' schedule. Even if we win the division they may pass us. Let's hope Lou has to decide how hard to go for it during that four game series at Shea.

5 with Washington, 6 with Atlanta and us for 4 (they finish hosting Florida for 3). They almost control their destiny as the Cubs and Brewers do (by virtue of 6 head-to-heads).

 

While I prefer to win the division and get the HFA, I am aware that it is not all it is cracked up to be.

If the NL finished Mets, Cubs, Dodgers, Brewers, the matchups at least wouldn't change for the first round. I think the Brewers would take the Mets in a series anyways

i just think the mets match up well with the brewers...

 

plus, the mets have been playing pretty good ball since the break and they will remember last year...honestly, i am not really basing it off any numbers, just gut feeling
