I know I'm a couple innings too late, but how awesome was that Lilly play at the plate?!

Impressive yes, but kinda dumb no?

I thought I would see more of you guys saying it was a bad risk to take.

It was awesome. He totally flattened Molina. Yadi wasn't expecting anything like that from a pitcher.

And then when Lily came up to bat, Looper threw one high and Lily put out his elbow as if to say "I dare you to throw at me."

Great.

I heard someone mention it earlier. Are they really considering moving the Houston series to another stadium this weekend, if so, what is the source of the info?

I cringed when I heard he barreled into Molina, what with the injury concerns we've had with this rotation.

Yea that's what I figured I'd say if I were a Cub fan.

As it was, I was floored. He went in like he wasn't a pitcher. He looked like a DB. And Yadi was not expecting it.

I think the Looper pitch was overblown. . . I mean it's okay to pitch inside, send a message right? Not like he hit him.

I heard it discussed on the radio earlier, but they didn't say where it would be moved to. It was noted that MLB decides where the games are played, not the home team, as some have postulated.

Hrabosky on the Cards broadcast speculated that it could be in St. Louis or KC.

Yeah, for sure. I earned a lot of respect for Yadi when he went out to Looper and yelled at him right afterwards too. Looper had to feel like a complete idiot after that.

Nice acoustics in Cubs radio booth at Busch -- you can hear Santo and Moltz (or however you spell Matt's last name) and others chortling away at various private jokes in the background... adds to the atmosphere. When they are winning.

He said that was the "rumor."

On Friday night the Cards (this is not a joke) have a campout on the field. An overnight, fundraiser-type thing. So they would have to do something with that in order to play here Friday.

I would totally be there. I wonder how much they would try to get from us for tickets.
