I think getting out of town is the best thing for this team. People are going to be saying all the stuff kaplan is all the time. Go win some series on the road and get ready for october. Zambrano is just being.....zambrano. You knew all the poss if you signed this guy long term. Only thing that surprises me is that there is no talk of shark starting. If these losses had been spread out this isn't even an issue. You have a team that isn't exactly firing on all cylinders behind you. We don't need anything other than adequate pitching to beat the reds and St louis we just need some life from the bats. If this was any other team than the cubs no one says anything. I'm sure brewers felt like this after we kicked thier butts. They got after it and still lead the wildcard, now lets go play the kind of baseball we're capable of for a couple of series.

Just Ripped Sori. "He should be ashamed of himself for how he plays the game. He loafs on the play at the plate when he could have been at second. A wonderfully talented player who's Baseball smarts are below average".

I didn't think he loafed on that play tonight.

Really? I did, but I was on the treadmill at the gym so maybe not.

Then why wasn't he at second base?

How can you guys subject yourself to listening to people flying off the handle for no reason? Serious question.

Let's get all outraged about sports because that'll solve something....but everything'll be OK when we win the next game!!!

It's especially bad because 99% of the callers usually do not know baseball very well.

Lou needs to go off on this team. If he's not screaming himself stupid right at this very moment, something is wrong.

He needs to go off in an epic fashion. I mean throwing chairs and overturning the postgame spread.

I know Shark started in Iowa, and he hasn't been up for very long, but is his arm still stretched out to where he could go 5-7 innings without hurting himself?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is how long before a stretched out starter's arm "wears off" and he can't start at the drop of a hat?

I totally disagree, he needs to point out that we are a baseball team 30 games over .500 We don't need to rely on emotion and passion. We need to go out and execute as we had been doing all season. Clear minds and all that...............

After a month, I doubt it. I doubt he'd be very effective at it either, at this point. I'd rather stick with Lieber (vs. any team without great lefties) and/or Marshall at this point.

Man, Kap is just tearing up Sori. He said that he should play the game like DeRosa, Soto and others. He is questioning his approach to the game.

Now Kap is ripping the callers. LOL. He's calling them quitters and cut the last guy off the phone.

Sure, this streak is frustrating but it's not a reason to lose faith.

Does listening to ridiculous outrage like this help you guys vent? I'm honestly trying to understand why people listen to that stuff.

I mean, I'm pissed off about the loss. I'm probably going to the gym to play some basketball and work it off. Listening to pissed off people ranting would just make me more pissed off.

You should host the PG show, David. 8-)

I hear you but the passion with this team is like no other in Sports. Cubs fans tend to freak when they start pulling this crap in September.

Kaplan sounds like a grade a prick. Ripping on callers for acting like quitters after his little rant? Wow.

He sounds like a tool.

He's a Cubs homer to the point where he makes Ron Santo look bad.

I added something more to my post.

My biggest problem is that he's ripping on people for doing what he's doing.

I like to think i'm fairly rational (even when it comes to the cubs!!) but if they blow it this season ie don't even make the playoffs that's going to hurt as much as some of the worst things that have ever happened in my life. On a brighter note we haven't just lost 3-0 to Arizona and are heading for the golf course. This is when we need Lee,Ramirez and Sori to step up. Edited by WrigleyinEngland

Exactly. I decided I had better thing to do when the Cubs were showing no signs of hitting Wolf, and went to throw a frisby with a friend. Now, I'm probably going to play DS, then go to bed. In fact, I'm not even really angry, just frustrated. However, logic tells me we still have a great shot for the playoffs, and there is no point in playing the role of Chicken Little.

He called the guy a quitter when he said this team is not going to beat the Randy Johnson's, etc, in the playoffs and isn't going to win in the playoffs. Then the caller got loud and he cut him off.

If they blow it this season, it would be absolutely devastating.

Take solace in the fact that that's very, very, VERY unlikely, though, no matter how pathetically they've played over the past 5 or 6 days.
