I've never understood this, and maybe there's an explanation. Why don't the Cubs play either the Redsox or Yankees every year? Those are 3 of the biggest markets as far as fan bases and history surrounding the teams.

Personally, I would love to see that during interleague but it only happens every so often?

Anyone else agree with me or am I just nuts?

Would be surprised if I'm the only one who wouldn't want to see them play a series every year.

Are you a Cubs fan? If so, you shouldn't want to handicap the Cubs by forcing them to play 2 of the best teams every year while their competition would almost always play somebody weaker.

I'm fine with playing them once every few years.

My guess is that because each of these three teams draws very well on the road. Therefore, it might make more financial sense to have each team play a smaller-market team on the road.

But I really would have liked to have seen the Cubs play at Yankee Stadium in its final year, mostly since I live so close to it.

i don't want the cubs facing the sox and yankees every year. but i have to admit that they idea of seeing the cubs play in fenway is very exciting, and i really hope they get there soon, either by interleague play or from the world series.

it's been almost 10 years since American Pie came out, but this still put a smile on my face :-)

The Cubs visiting Fenway, is the only interleague matchup that the Cubs haven't had yet. Every other team has come to Wrigley, and the Cubs have played in every AL city except Boston.

Kinda weird considering we played the AL East this year and had already been to Toronto.

Edit: as always I'm a moran, the Cubs have never played in Oakland, and the Angels have never been to Wrigley.
