Soto grounded out to second, 4-3

Fontenot flied out to deep left field

Johnson doubled to right center field

Dempster grounded out to second, 4-3

Now I wouldn't be against trying to steal third and hoping for a bad throw.

 

Obviously it didn't happen but this would be a bad idea as well. High likelihood that Reed gets thrown out which would mean Dempster would lead off the next inning, which wouldn't be good.

i know that was dempster but this is ridiculous. when are we going to get a hit w/ risp? when? it has to happen, doesn't it?

 

maybe not against florida.

 

If I was Dempster and I knew I was a bad hitter and I was facing a pitcher with control problems, I would probably take a pitch or two.

Dempster is not fooling these guys anymore.

This catcher is 4 for 18 at throwing out runners after throwing out Theriot earlier in the game. Not a high % move, but if you are going to try to have someone steal third, I'd rather have done it in that situation
