I have never seen a Cubs team have so many hard-hit outs as this year.

Houston? Arizona?

2 more series that add to my point. This team scalds the ball for outs insanely often.

I guess it's a good sign but it drives me nuts.

i doubt this happens to the cubs more than any other team. it's part of the game.

Oh well, as completely annoying as this will be....the Marlins just have our number and we'll never be able to get over it. Only 6-7 games a year against them at least. Still a 4-2 road trip if we don't come back, and at worst we break even against the Brewers and only lose 1 possibly 2 games to the Cardinals.

The crappy thing is, the Cardinals have been on fire, so I can't see us feeling confident about being a playoff lock anytime soon, especially with our September schedule working against us.

Cards are still down 3-0. That's some good news.

Until Ludwick or Miles or some other scrub du jour hits a 10-run homer and the Cards pull out a win.

I fear the way things are going, it won't matter. Cy Volsted (the guy who had 50 pitches in two innings) has been too tough.
