Milwaukee (Sabathia, 3.11) @ San Diego (Banks, 3.77)

Cardinals (Looper, 4.20)@ Marlins (Nolasco, 3.92)

Brewers, it wouldn't freakin kill you to lose a game once in a while. A brewer loss combined with a Cubs win would put us a more comfortable 4.5 up. And Sabathia is due to get lit up (again).

Cardinals, I don't really care about you. Do what you want.

Ricky Nolasco!

Seeing Nolasco pitch for the Marlins makes me sad.

When I first really started paying attention to the farm system in 2004, Ricky Nolasco, then Carlos Nolasco of the West Tennessee Diamond Jax was one of the first prospects to really catch my eye.

He was Ricky back then itself . He was Ricky in high school in Southern California before he was drafted.

They keep saying Peavy is pitching for San Diego on the radio. Can anyone confirm if it's Peavy or Banks?

All the websites and box scores say Banks.

I remember my high school days. Kids were firing heat in the upwards of 70mph.

Yay, Milwaukee didn't score in the 1st.

No Ryan Braun yet again.

Cards have added on, 6-4

JUST GO AWAY

Whatever, they are basically irrelevant at this point.

We all need to just root against the Brewers.

Headley grounds out. :(

0-0 after 1.

I'm not rooting FOR the Cardinals, but I'm not actively rooting against them either.

I don't mind seeing them keep pressure on Milwaukee for the WC spot; make MIL worry more about them than us. We gotta hope the Beerdrinkers slip up against these creampuffs they're facing so we can build our lead on them again.

Truth be told, I'd rather *possibly* face StL in the NLCS before I would MIL.

And while we're on the subject of hopes and dreams, I'd prefer LAD catches ARI and comes out of the West, since it's most likely we're gonna face the Western Divisional champ in the NLDS. (Although even with ARI acquiring Dunn, I like our chances alot more against them [this year, compared to last] in a 5-game series where we have the HFA, and have - at the very least - the co-best home record in the majors. Not to mention our rotation of Zambrano-Harden-Dempster-Zambrano/Lilly-Harden/Z in a short series like that.)
