Edmonds has been amazing for us. Just amazing.

Heh, I really thought his bat speed had slowed (and it wasn't just Petco keeping him down).

This is ridiculous.

This isn't the brightest decision by Bobby.

I agree. But the Braves are out of it so Cox is trying to limit the damage and get guys into the game too. At this point it's almost like ST for a team like the Braves.

I'm just blown away at how much Edmonds has helped this club.

I'm thrilled to say I was so very wrong about him when we signed him.

Put me in the very wrong and happily eating my words camp as well. Unreal.

Give Edmonds a one year deal next year. I want him on this team.

Let's not get carried away.

I wouldn't be opposed, as long as the money is right.

I agree. It would mean we would have to move Pie though...

I wonder what his projections/performance will be

Not necessarily. Pie could be the 4th OF, and could start if Edmonds decides to suck again. He could play LF to rest Soriano, or take over in RF if Fuku still sucks.

Any recolection I once had of Jim Edmonds in one of those red jerseys fades more and more every day.

He used to wear a red jersey?

Something about a bird and a half-shirt... I dunno, it's all hazy.

pass. He's Gary Gaetti 2008

I too have had those feelings. However, it's not that similar to the Gaetti situation in that Gaetti was never good and was playing out of his mind. While I didn't expect this performance from Edmonds, he's a borderline hall of famer who has put together a good season.

I'm not advocating resigning him, but there are some conditions under which I would like to see him back
