Seriously... most effed up NHL rule ever... if you commit a 2 minute penalty in regulation, you damn right it should count as "injury time" like in soccer. This league needs a serious revamp, what an embarrassment.

This kind of loss doesn't bother me. It's like that one game a year in baseball where you hit 15 line drives right at fielders and the other team bloops home a couple runs.

 

Of course, being locked in to a playoff seed helps me feel that way.

This completes a miserable day in sports for me where all 3 of my teams that played (Bulls, Michigan, Hawks) all lost to inferior games that they had no business losing. Yay

i feel the exact opposite. this kind of loss pisses me off to no end.

 

here are my rankings of "types of game that piss me off most"

 

1. losing because of a blown call or just crappy officiating in general

2. completely dominating but losing because of bad luck/ bad breaks

3. blowing a game right at the end (aka heartbreakers)

4. just flat out getting beaten

 

tonight's game is a combination of the top 2, which is pretty much the worst ever. we win this game 19 times out of 20

Considering the league's main broadcast channel is VS. it's not in the best standing. Bad call's and the lessening of physical play isn't going to help the league.

Fights/Real hockey is going to promote the sport nationally as long as you have the right teams playing the right teams at the right time.

Yep, that's the thing. Are there really any physical,must see rivalries at this point? None that I can think of. The only rivalry that is really promoted is Pitt vs Wash and that's because of the superstars involved.
