I'd try to fit Sharp in there for the roofer, but no doubt Khabi was #1. What more needs to happen for Q to come off this rotation business? If I have to watch Huet flail around Friday night, I'm going to be one unhappy human.

How about having him starting in the playoffs?

It's fine to want Khabi to start every game, but you need to stop acting like Huet sucks

Well... he doesn't suck... but he sure hasn't shown his true colors this year... and we all know how he did for the Caps last year in the playoffs.

I know he's a great goalie... I just can't trust him. (Especially in the playoffs).

I don't know what that means, but he has above average numbers

Huet is not a great goalie. He pisses me off a lot too, especially when he tried to play the puck. I just don't understand why everyone here trashes him non-stop. Big contract or not, he's an above average goalie.

I vehemently agree with you... he is an "above average goalie"... but with two goalies with an enormous contract... the better goalie at the time (Khabi) is going to get the love and the one who isn't as good/consistent (Huet) is going to get the hate.

I think us, as knowledgeable Hawks fans hate the contract more than the person. We see Huet making money we could have spent elsewhere.

EDIT: And I guess I should admit I was incredibly excited about the Huet signing at first, because I figured he was taking OVER for Khabby, not "platooning" with him.

Like I said, I have no problem with people wanting Khabi to start every day and I can live with people being pissed about Huet's contract. I just don't understand why people still acting like he's gabage even though the numbers prove that to be false.

.974 SV% by Khabi won us this game... we better not roll into St. Lou and play like that or we'll be out of the game by the end of the 1st period.

I'm a huge Huet hater, but I'll always admit he's an above-average goalie.

I'm admittedly irrational about the guy. I just don't have any confidence in him. Yes, he plays well at times, but he doesn't seem to win games like Khabi has this year.

Yes, he's above-average. But he's not the best option right now. I am not in support of trading Khabi at the deadline, even if it means allowing the team to upgrade the offense.

Obviously Huet is going to be around long-term, so I hope the guy plays well.

It's crazy that we say that with St. Louis being in the cellar, but they have played the Hawks so tough this year. And their offense is much improved with MacDonald back in the lineup.

All the talk here, at least before Tuesday's bad loss against Vancouver, was about how the Blues are still in the playoff race despite being 15th in the conference. They are pretty close to mailing it in. The Hawks need to give them a shove in that direction.

Niemi recalled. Please play Saturday!

I would rather see them play Niemi here tomorrow night

My point exactly

I would rather see them play Niemi here tomorrow night because he is more likely to be able to handle the Blues and if Huet is going to play one of the two nights it should be against the better team on Saturday night.

Nice try though.

Good lord this Huet/Khabi argument is probably the most tired argument I've ever seen based around the Blackhawks. It's everywhere.

I don't think it's tired, because it comes up every time Huet plays poorly and Khabi plays well. Which happens all the time!

Dude is hellbent on arguing I'm irrational about this. Clearly I'm not.

Then why are their numbers so very similar?

I'm admittedly irrational about the guy.

Haha. My evil twin signs in as me sometimes. Confuses me to no end.

My point is that I know I don't give the guy enough credit for being a decent goaltender, but when you watch him this season, he just clearly isn't as sharp as Khabi. So if you have a choice between them, Khabi should start. Obviously, if it's Huet or a guy up from Rockford, you play Huet.
