What an amazing game.

I love this team!

Now the team gets to go home for a couple of days before continuing the trip.

Aside from the win, the best part was getting to hear Hughson do the PBP. As much as I love Foley, I think I'd trade him for Hughson.

Hughson is the best in the game IMO.

My lord, just woke up and am still extremely excited about last night.

If the Hawks beat the Sharks on Wednesday I don't know what I'm gonna do.

Yeah, I'll probably freak. I'm already more excited for hockey in November than I've been for many, many years.

Off to the Bears game right now though.

Driving through the middle of Kansas last night I managed to get The Score. And it just happened to be during Jesse Rogers' hockey show. He had Buff as his guest. They went through in detail what happened with his injury/trade discussions.

Buff said he was actually hurt, though he was vague about it. Something in his "upper body" that was "painful" and made it so he couldn't do anything. He said he started to hear the trade rumors from friends and his girlfriend, who was apparently freaking out because they just bought a new house and are moving in right now.

He said he would be out tomorrow night and probably practice Thursday with an eye toward playing Friday. I got the impression though that he wouldn't play until they get back home on the 3rd, especially with how well Eager is playing in his place on the third line. Might as well make sure he is fully rested.

We have one of those super late 9:30 CST starts tomorrow night, but I'll be staying up since I don't have to do anything but cook on Thursday.

Also.... for the Hawks it seems like our star center in the future is now getting emo and demanding a trade.... here is an article from a local Helsinki Paper I still get:

"Chicagon farmijoukkueeseen Rockford Icefogsiin juuttunut hyökkääjä Petri Kontiola on pyytänyt Blackhawksin organisaatiolta siirtoa.

Siksi motivaatio on koetuksella.

Here is my translation... might be a few mistakes... but you'll get the jist of it....

In Chicago's farm team, the Rockford Icehogs.. (vittu?) forward Petri has asked a transaction from the Blackhawk's organization.

Here have been asked all kind of things, but nothing seems to be happening. It feels like there's no spark of hope, Kontiola said in "IS Veikkaaja" published on tuesday...

Kontiola is the most efficient player in Icehogs, but an invite to the Blackhawks is not likely to be coming..

Also it says basically inadvertenly that Kontiola won't be used in the Hawk's organization and he is not willing to be a participant in Hawk's activities because he feels left out.

This sucks, IMO.

Sounds like somebody better call a WHHHHAAAAAAAAAmbulance for Mr. Kontiola. This is Exhibit 1 in "How not to get a call up."

What a moron. Did he think nobody around the Hawks speaks Finnish? What, they don't still have Alpo sitting in a dark room translating the sports pages?

What an awesome night for sports tonight. I'll be at the bars for 'black Wednesday' watching the Bulls/Spurs at 7:30 and then after my Rosegasm, I get the Hawks and NHL leading Sharks. Can't wait.

Sounds fun. I have a night of cleaning house and preparing food items ahead of me. The late start is actually perfect. Gives me time to do all of my work. As long as I can stay awake.

Yea... never understood when a 2nd year player cries about getting called up. Have some respect for the game and be happy you are playing professional hockey in the US. Your time will come.

Well lets trade him while he's our number 2 prospect and hope he doesn't bloom. But other teams might be hesitant to take him after seeing he's such a crybaby.

Fake goalol.

This time I'm not just pissed, it really was... hahaha...

Are you watching the game?

The Shark's player's face was 2 feet from the ground and Seabrook's stick was 4 inches + below his waist and got a "high sticking" call... disgusting.
