Just watching the highlights:

Why don't teams put the "jim Thome Shift" on every time Theriot is up to bat. Seriously.....put all 7 position players on the right side of second base.

Easy bunt single to the left side

Tongue in cheek, but it really is amazing he continues to find holes in the right side.

For those of you familiar with Miller Park seating...

How good are seats in section 231? I'll be there with my brother tomorrow.

They should be pretty decent seats, but I'm one of those people who believes there's very few bad seats at Miller Park. 231 is down the left field line, but a section or so away from the foul pole. You should be able to see the infield action develop nicely, and you'll probably see most of the outfield action except for the left field corner.

I hope you have a good time, but please take it easy on any heartbroken Brewer fans you may come across.

The Brewers still have 0 hits with RISP this series. The Cubs have done a hell of a job of pitching out of jams this series.

Corey Hart's taking some horrible angles in the outfield, and he's been horrible for the entire month of July at the plate. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yost throw out a lineup tomorrow with Gabe Kapler, Russell Branyan, Craig Counsell, and Mike Rivera on getaway day. Harden should finally get his first win as a Cub, even though Bush has been great during day games this year.

Hart's defensive woes have overshadowed his suckiness at the plate

I've never seen a series where one OF takes such terrible routes to balls. He turned so many singles into doubles/triples this series

A few of my managers at work are Brewers fans (this being Wisconsin and all) and I like to tease them about the Cubs.

To be fair, though, I heard my share of it when the Brewers tied for the lead a week ago.

In the past I've made of fun of Fielder with fat ass references but, I saw him do something yesterday that made me think he's probably a pretty cool guy. Ramirez was running past him on the way to one of his doubles, as he was doing so Fielder gave him a little tap - effectively saying good job of hitting there Aram.

if it makes you feel better, you're still leading the wild card chase.

Please Cubs, don't crap the bed now that you're at 20 games over. Remember... you ARE allowed to go higher than that. Twenty-one games over .500 is a good thing. Can you repeat that? Gooooood thinnngggggg.

Oh I know -- I'm not really the type of Brewer fan that's packing it in for the year just because they lost a series at home to the Cubs. The Brewers still have a favorable schedule compared to the Cubs and Cards, and it looks like the Phils and Mets will spend the rest of the year beating each other up. It's just unfortunate that the Braves decided to give up on their season the second the Cards got into town, allowing them to make up almost all of the ground they lost to the Brewers last week. It's a long year, and the Brewers aren't as bad as they've been playing this series.

Besides, it's not like football season is looking too promising in Wisconsin this year, anyway. I might as well stick around to see this season to the end. :D

Yeah, the cardinals sure got unlucky hitting the Braves at this point in the season.

Hey Cubs.

This concept called "winning", its actually quite fun. Especially against the team that has the most direct impact on your playoff positioning. :good:

Please do consider trying to do it ("winning") much more often!

Feilder has been doing that sort of stuff to baserunners ever since I started watching them win or lose. He's very talkative over there at 1st base.

I was at the game tonight and it was so awesome. The section I was in had almost 90% Cubs fans, which was great. In about the 7th or 8th inning, two Brewer fans ganged up on this Cub fan and started fighting. All three were escourted out of Miller Park.

All in all, it was great seeing us win a road series, against the Brewers. Let's get Rich his first Cubs win and go back home to the Pirates.

magic number for playoffs and division = ?

Fielder has always seemed like a decent gent to me, and I would really appreciate it if he would hurry up and go to a team outside of this division so I could like him more

don't worry, he'll be a Yankee or Red Sock before you know it
