Call me pessimistic, but I'm sick of blowing teams out and then not being able to score against scrubs the next game.

I find myself asking the Cubs not to waste all their offense in blowout games. Totally irrational, but so is Cubs fandom.

Just like the Houston series, the offense hides for two games and then breaks out in a big way in the season finale.

We have an offense that can be awesome. They just need to gain a little more consistency.

I think we all are, but blowing out teams is encouraging nonetheless. It's not like this is a precursor to their suckage in the upcoming games, it can only be a positive sign.

Why am I not comfortable now? Oh yeah, I remember the last time the Cubs had a 7 run lead in the 8th with Howry and Marmol coming up.

C'mon Howry, do something well tonight.

Weren't you wondering about why so many people were freaking out earlier?

Man, I need a hot baseball-lovin' g/f.

recommended to all

My wife had never seen a baseball game until 4 years ago(on tv), but she can name most of the managers and a fair number of GMs in the NL, knows all the common acronyms and some of the less common (EQA, etc) ones, and knows why, say, I hate the Padres so much.

They can be educated.
