What is Rosa's future? A middle of the order hitter who's a perrenial All-Star? Haven't heard much about him until recently. All I know is that he looks like a B.A. in his picture.

And Vitters is an absolute beast.. MOVE HIM UP.

I'm assuming Hill will go tomorrow now with the rain out tonight. He just can't seem to catch a break when it comes to staying on a normal pitching schedule.

All Star? Nah. I wouldn't go that far with him.

From what I've seen of him in person and from what I've been reading about him, a lot of his future depends on whether he can stick at 3B. At the rate things are going for him, I don't really feel that is overly likely since he's had a number of issues out there defensively that might not easily be corrected with coaching and repetition. On the other hand, he has done a very good job at 1B. He's made a number of nifty plays around the bag and could be a plus defender there, imo.

His bat should play well as he develops. His frame seemed to be pretty much filled out when I've seen him, but the guy hits a lot of ropes that I think a number of his doubles could translate into HRs. He could develop into a solid 1B, but nothing particularly spectacular, imo.

I tuned into the radio in hopes of hearing the Daytona game. They did mention that Rich would be pitching on Friday evening. The web site indicates that as well.

With any luck, the rain will hold off...:)

Down in the DSL, 18-year old Venezuelan outfielder Jesus Morelli hit his 2nd HR of the season and is now OPSing over .950 with 18 BBs to 21 strikeouts. I don't remember an age-appropriate hitting prospect this intriguing in the DSL over the past few seasons (Castro and Lake were interesting last year but neither hit with the amount of power that Morelli hass and Lake had a horrible K/BB ratio). Granted it's only been 92 at bats for Morelli but he certainly sounds like someone to watch for.

He's gotten better as the season's progressed as well. .388/.448/.673/1.122 with a 7/7 K/BB this month and .459/.535/.784/1.319 the last 10 games. Wonder how he profiles defensively?

He's 6'3" and already playing corner OF so I guess there's no chance of him playing center. His arm might not be great too since he primarily plays LF.

AZ Phil on Tarlandus Mitchell:

Also, RHP Tarlandus Mitchell (22nd round pick out of Alto HS - Alto, TX) aggravated his sprained ankle throwing a pitch with two outs in the top of the 9th yesterday and had to be helped off the field, so he'll probably be out a while. It didn't look too good. He throws VERY hard.

IIRC, Vitters is moving up in time for Peoria's game at Wrigley.
