  1. Poor guy grew up in Detroit. 2 straight playoff seasons and he is a die hard now?
  2. Len's voice is piercing to my ears. His taste in music is downright atrocious. It is debatable whether or not he is a true Cubs fan. To each his own.
  3. You don't agree?
  4. Len is awful.. Thank god for Bob's personality!
  5. Travis Snider had a dinger & 5 RBIs in the first game of a double header today. He added another RBI in the second game. Wilken is hot garbage anyway. It is incredibly sad he thought Colvin projected better than Travis Snider..
  6. Vern: If I could only have one food for the rest of my life? That's easy, Pez, cherry-flavored Pez. No question about it.
  7. 8/26 2IP / 0 hits / 0 ER / 5 Ks / 1 BB 39 pitches - 27 strikes Angel -- your seat @ the table is ready!
  8. Sorry, I am not a simpleton and didn't laugh at the guys very weak attempt at being funny. Cute to make a joke in light of a 23 year old dieing from cancer. But, I'm sure you and all the other simpleton's did.
  9. Do you have down syndrome? God damn, you're stupid. Guy was only 23 and this is the best you can come up with. RIP.
  10. Vitters continues to rake. Slowly silencing the Wieters lovers.
  11. Agreed. I will never understand the notion of voting a player to the all star game just because he is on your favorite team. You should vote for the most deserving players. It is an absolute travesty that Fukudome is even in this game let alone starting.
  12. What would be a realistic package for him? Very dominant pitcher, but with a very serious injury history. It's hard to gauge his value. Beane will want a ton for him and I can see Hendry being reluctant to sell the farm on a guy who cannot really be counted on to throw 150 innings.
  13. I'd like for Vitters to stay at Boise for a while. He has a lot of work to do with the glove and he is raking right now. Let him continue to gain confidence. I don't think anyone here is interested in him going up to Peoria and struggling. He's still 18. It's not like he's on the fast track.
  14. Blame Tim Wilken for drafting the same low-ceiling college 2nd baseman over and over.
  15. Why in the world is Marmol going to come into a 7-0 game?
  16. ..? He was awesome last year in his rookie season.
  17. Steve Stone is much better than Brenly. Also, Len Kasper is nauseating. Once he has an opinion of his own let me know.
  18. His post is pretty dead-on. Although, I do like the Carpenter, & Shaffer picks. The rest are pretty bad. I could have lived with the Cashner pick had we decided to use our other picks better on position players with some sort of upside. Wilken is very over-rated. In case you have not noticed our farm system is crap and none of Wilken's selections have really shown any promise besides Tony Thomas who is a hack at second base. One of the few bright spots in last years class was Donaldson who is hitting .194 this season.. Great draft Timmy!
  19. He is now leading all triple crown categories and is the first player to win AL Player of the month for the first two months since the award was created in 1974. Yeah, how dare someone argue that he's been the best player in baseball so far..
  20. • Ranks 2nd in AL in BA (.326) • Ranks 1st in AL in HR (14) • Ranks 1st in AL in RBI (61) • Ranks 5th in AL in R (38) • Ranks 1st in AL in SLG (.604) • Ranks 2nd in AL in OPS (.974)
  21. 2/2 w/ 2 BB and an RBI tonight so far. I wonder if we will ever know what it is like to have a prospect as good as Bruce with his plate discipline at such a young age.
  22. BUT HE HAS THE MOST RBIS Triple crown leader. That opposite field home run in the bottom of the 10th the other night was DIRTY. Unreal power. "He's really a freak of nature," Houston Astros slugger Lance Berkman said, shaking his head in disbelief during a recent series against Texas."
  23. Plays a premium defensive position and is a great CFer. 1st in slugging 1st in homers Has 50 RBI and it's May 20th. Top 5 in everything else other than Runs. He is the only reason Texas is not 15 games under .500 soto has a higher OPS at a tougher position lance berkman's OPS is almost a full 0.3 points higher Soto has a lower average 2 less dingers 17 less RBI 7 less runs Hamilton is better than ANYONE we have in the middle of our order. Berkman is having a historic season, hits in a better lineup with much better protection, and still has less RBIs than Hamilton. Put Hamilton in between Tejada, Lee, & Pence and his stats would be eerily similar to Berkmans.
  24. Plays a premium defensive position and is a great CFer. 1st in slugging 1st in homers Has 50 RBI and it's May 20th. Top 5 in everything else other than Runs. He is the only reason Texas is not 15 games under .500
