talent-wise the Giants have the best rotation in the NL. if Zito's last start was a result of improved mechanics, it honestly wouldn't be inconceivable for them to make a playoff push- despite their putrid offense.

It helps that the rest of the NL West have crashed and burned... although for the most part, it was clearly coming for all the teams.
