the cards pen has a bunch of guys that cant throw 2 days in a row, it seems. would've been nice to make them use a few of them a little earlier.

Z is due for a dominant start. 6 IP (it'd be 7 if he wasn't just coming off the DL), 4 hits, 1 ER.

 

Cubs win 4-2.

Howry HAS to pitch two innings tonight with Cotts around if needed. Marmol needs to come into a laugher at this point in time.

Ok, Lou. Moment of truth, who do you go to in the 8th? I'd still go with Marmol, but make it clear that he gets the quick hook at the first sign of trouble.
