Not being old enough to have experience Brickhouse first-hand, I so enjoyed Len Kasper's throw-back 'HEY HEY WHEEEE!' call from the Braves game two weeks ago.

Anyone else think we should start a petition asking Kasper to keep the call, for home games, for the rest of the year?

I say he brings it back whenever they hit a gamechanger. It would have been amazing when Rammy won Friday's game...or Edmonds hitting 2 in one inning.

I'll bet you naysayers hated everything about old timey day.

Old timey folk shouldn't get mad at the youngsters just because we had the privilege of school buses and public transportation during the winter time

That is a worse idea than "You can put it on the boooooooooooooooooooooard!! YES!!!"

I actually wish Len had said that during the 9-run outburst at some point, just to be a pompous ass

If we want Kasper do that we should just get Chris Berman to do our games.

A broadcaster needs to make his own signature and not steal someone else's. And as much as I hate them the put it on the board yes is a really good homerun call.

Calling a game by rotating half a dozen cliches and catch phrases isn't effective broadcasting.

If we bring Berman in then we need to bring Chuck "New Kids On" Knoblauch in as a coach.

Well then, how about "This is Tom Looney, slaving over a hot microphone" ??

I like it when Len's voice cracks like a little boy going through puberty. I also enjoys his "Oh, baby."

You know what I enjoy............the dead air silences of Hawk and DJ when something bad happens to the White Sox. That is most enjoyable.

Or for our advanced understanding of physics which allowed us to solve the "Up Hill Both Ways" paradox.

You know what, I'm not gonna lie... up until about 2-3 years ago, I had no idea who Jack Brickhouse was. I grew up with Harry and Steve, and didn't follow Cubs baseball as if it were the gospel until about 2002, so I never really knew who Jack Brickhouse was because no one would ever really mention him. It was always about Harry Caray

Growing up in Chicago in the 70s, Jack Brickhouse WAS Chicago Cubs baseball - and Harry Caray represented the dreaded WHITE SOX!!! It took me a few years to get over that and warm up to him, but I eventually did - kind of like what we're all going through right now with Jimmy Edmunds . . .

And - for what it's worth - Brickhouse was a GREAT announcer!

I've heard the same. Also heard that he was a huge apologist for a terribly run organization.
