[/i]"My thought was since when do the Cubs and their fans think that their the American League version of the Red Sawks with their version of "Sweet Caroline." Your right no wonder they haven't won a WS in a 100 years.......

Stinking Cubs grrrrrrrrrr[/i]"

Give them credit, they're finding new and inventive things to whine about.

btw, someone mentioned in a BP chat recently that the sox pitching was a prime candidate to decline due to some anomalously-low home run rates, especially playing in a home park that favors home run hitters. looks like that has started to happen...

The ball appears to be deforming as Aramis hits it.

When Aramis hits them, they stay hit.

It is. Thus making this one of my new favorite pictures.

What happens if the ball doesn't stay hit? You send it to obedience school? You call a "bad ball" and rub it's face in the dirt.

You popped it on the nose? What do you do?

WAAAY late game observations (had to work - punched in just before the 4th inning too! :x ) ;

- Hey, Jermaine Dye, thanks for the mucho dramatic bat flip after your HR in the 2nd inning. Nothing fires up the opposition, in their house, then a jacktard acting like King Kong after a HR ball. [-X

- Jim Edmonds, I hated you as a Cardinal, but keep up the +.300 BA and occasional HRs as a Cub, and you'll be A-OK in Cubbie Blue. :thumbsup:

- I sure hope this is just a short phase Marmol is going through; as he's walked 5, hit 2, and thrown a WP in his last 2 outings. :blackeye:

- The 11 runs helped alot, and the HRs from the WS weren't cool, but Marquis looked ok again out on the mound. He could have given up alot more today if he was really off his game. =D>

- I still think you're a good-for-nothing punk, AJP. :lol:

I'm sure it was mentioned in one of the 35 pages of this thread, but in yesterdays White Sox broadcast, did anyone hear Hawk when he said that "you don't want to get in a slugfest with the White Sox, cause up and down the lineup they'll out slug the Cubs any day." It wasn't exactly that, but it was to that effect. Anyone else hear this? After these first two games, he looks like even more of an idiot then he did before.

I'm recording the game on CSN when it re-airs in a few hours just so I can hear the reaction to the 4th inning by "their" announcers.

You just can't beat listening to a dejected Hawk & DJ! :good:

Apparently Piniella forgot that Fontenot had homered earlier in the 4th inning before he pulled him in favor of DeRosa the second time around.
