Couple people on the Illinois Scout board are insinuating there's at least one more to come soon.

no way that it's blackshear, he's at least going to give self the chance to drive a dump truck full of money up to his house.

 

i would guess shaw. if shaw commits soon, our chances with blackshear will go up significantly.

My friend's kid has a heart condition and will require surgery early next year. Yesterday she got this message on her voicemail.

 

Hey Tricia, Phil I hope this is right number. I am trying to call the XXXXXX residence. This is an off the wall call. This is Bill Self calling from over at KU, and I got a real nice card today from...Tricia I believe your father, just wishing us Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. And then he told me a little bit about what was going on with your son, and I just wanted to call and say "hello" and just let you know I will be pulling for you and will certainly share with my wife what is going on. And I hope you guys have a great holiday, and I understand he is going to have surgery in April, if I am not mistaken, and I certainly hope that the preparation goes well for all that and he's as strong as ever. I just wanted to pass that along, and I hope you don't feel like I have intruded on your privacy. I hope I haven't. I just wanted to call. Yeah but that was before Abrams decided. I imagine this will start the ball rolling for us, that being said Blackshear is good enough that the staff will wait on him. But Randle and Stewart might want to decide soon.

stewart's time for committing has passed. he had the chance to commit before abrams, as i think he was the first of the bunch with an offer. but he chose to wait, despite the fact that he's the least talented guard, imo, in that class.
