I don't know why everyone loves Gavin Floyd, up until 1 start ago he had more walks than strikeouts and a ridiculous BABIP.

It's funny how people said the White Sox had no business trading for Swisher because they were required by law to go for a full scale rebuild have done a 180 now. Swisher hasn't done well but they've shown that no, they weren't required by law to rebuild, Fautino De Los Santos and Gio Gonzalez are up to nothing, so forth.

Go look up the Nick Swisher trade topic, that's all it is: "They can't do that! They have to be rebuilding!"

No, most people were saying it was a really good deal.

But many also didn't understand why the White Sox would be doing that at this point.

Not that it matters. It's not like the same people who think the Sox are legit have to be the people who were questioning the move (or the timing of it) at the time.

Given Swisher's age and contract status, I don't think many people on NSBB were questioning the move. He's cheap and will be there for a long time under his current deal. It helps the present just as much as the future.

As far as Gavin Floyd, yeah, there's no real reason to be high on him. His BABIP is an unsustainable .207 and his K:BB ratio is awful. He's going to come back down to earth.

Don Cooper did not appreciate me presenting that information to him.

this is very tough...the experience of boston says to go with them...the angels will be there though...

the white sox??!?!?

actually i have no clue

eww, I dont buy that factor in the MLB playoffs. Anyway, I still think one of the AL central pre-season power houses will get hot at the right time. No basis for that guess though.

Up until recently, Swisher's line driver percentage was actually higher than his batting average, so god knows he'd been getting unlucky. Perhaps more unlucky than any other hitter in the first two months has ever been.

I really like him and I think he'll be a good asset to the Sox.
