has a losing or .500 record against the NL East and the NL Central. How bad is that division.

This also sheds light on Arizona's record. Outside that horrible division, they are also horrible.

the nl central is a collective 50-31 against the west; the cubs have obviously done the most damage (13-2). dusty baker's reds are the only team below .500 against the west (7-8)

the central is 40-38 against the east (weirdness: the pirates have played 21 games against the east, while the cardinals have played)

I can't beleive how many important Rockies and Padres are injured.

I mean, those two team are a disaster area.

I would guess the NL West makes a comeback post All-Star break.

The Cubs have actually only played 2 road games against the NL West thus far (Colorado, 1-1). 13 home games, though (3 vs. Ari, 4 vs. SD, 3 vs. LA, 3 vs. Col), and they're 12-1 in those games.

Updated, and pretty ridiculous.

Ha! That sweep has inflated your ego, huh?

That, and the fact that it's true. The West is absolutely terrible, and that's where you've gotten most of your wins.

EDIT: Looks like 12-17 vs. non-NL West opponents.

We're a horrible team, though?

That's odd. Cubs are 22-19 vs those two same divisions (Central + East), while 14-2 vs West. Looks like that's where you guys have gotten most of your wins too.

And yea, I know 22-19 > 12-17, just saying. 22-19 is nothing impressive either.

What TT said. And I don't think you guys are horrible at all, but if you were judging by your record outside of your division, which is what MrWood was saying, it looks bad.

A 67 win pace is 2006 Cubs bad.

The DBacks will win the West, but clearly they aren't the team they looked like they were 3 weeks ago.

Whether the Cubs are the team they look like they are now remains to be seen. I am not optimistic, but then again I am a Cubs fan.

Nah, I think the Cubs are good and will win the central, just think we aren't horrible and we started slumping once May hit and unfortunately, that was when we went outside of our division. April was a very west happy schedule and we were hitting everything. Now we can't even hit the likes of Nolasco, Andrew Miller, etc.

We'll see what we're really made of in June. 19 road games/7 home games, and outside of our division for most. :x
