The Brewers said Eric Gagne is out indefinitely with rotator-cuff tendinitis.

After being examined in Milwaukee by team physician William Raasch, the right-handed Gagne received a cortisone injection and was told not to throw for three days. The Brewers still haven't moved to put him on the DL, indicating that they're holding out hope of a return next week. Salomon Torres is the favorite for saves in the meantime. May. 22 - 7:39 pm et

NOOO. That means he won't be blowing games anymore :(

Torres should be able to pick up right where he left off.

The incredible news here is that the Brewers are *STILL* holding out hope he will be a miracle. They're not even DLing the guy. He should be relegated to the deepest, darkest corner of Miller Park. But Yost is intent on giving his club the least possible chance to win, so he'll be trotted back out there again, and sooner rather than later. It's getting to be quite comical.

I like the "holding out hope" part. They should be holding out hope that Gagne's shoulder spontaneously explodes.

I'm still holding out hope the Yost will be given a long term extension this coming off-season.

Hope is a wonderful thing in baseball. Especially when it's your rival that is relying on it.
