I don't know what happened to the last one, but let's do this again. It's All-Star Game voting time. I think we should focus our voting on Lee, Ramirez, Fukudome, and Soto. If you want to add Soriano to that group, go right ahead.

Some of you previously pledged votes, and if so, please do so again.

I'll start by pledging 100 votes per day.

I was a little upset at the lack of ballot availability at Wrigley on Saturday. They weren't delivered to seats, and you had to go out of your way to find them. The only ones I saw were almost hidden in a corner on the concourse.

I think that's why the Cubs don't tally as well as you would think for a team that has such great attendance. I never saw a ballot in any of the four games I was there last week.

But if you go to Minute Maid or most other parks, they are passing out ballots and then collecting them as well as having promos on the jumbo tron.

You would think that with the Cubs being as good as they are, if they did push it as much as other teams, they'd dominate the voting.

Might MLB have requested that we not push it very hard?

How much of the balloting actually comes from the stadiums? I would imagine a majority is done online these days.

How do I vote for pitchers / how are pitchers selected?

I tried to write-in marmol but I can only vote for position players...

The managers pick the pitchers.

I would think so to, but 40k (or whatever %age of the crowd would actually vote) a day would probably help *shrug*

Is Pie still on the ballot?

Yes. The ballot doesn't change. For example, Frank Thomas is the DH candidate for the Blue Jays, Ben Broussard is the Rangers 1b candidate, Edmonds is there for SD, and Jacque Jones is there for the Tigers.

I wonder what would happen in the highly improbable scenario where a AAA player gets elected to start the All Star game.

Maybe he'd get to play, ala Magic in 92. Different sport, but ya.
