There is literally nothing I hate in baseball more than giving up the lead and then quietly going away.

 

I was hoping we'd do better, but I'm not so sure its in the cards.

I shouldn't keep harping on this, but Zambrano with virtually an identical start to Gallagher's first start, which was almost universally praised as good.

Four innings, one run before falling apart in the fifth and leaving with the bases loaded. End result, 4 innings vs. 4.1 innings, 4 ER vs. 4 ER, 1 UER.

 

Seems pretty similar to me.

Well theres a difference between your All Star $15 million ace against the 5th place Pirates and a rookie making his first major league start against the best team record wise in the NL.

Guilty. Just pointing out that sometimes fans tend to adjust a bit too much for expectations. All results count the same.
