We should get him.

Soriano (RF)

Fukudome (CF)

Lee (1B)

Ramirez (3B)

Dunn (LF)

Soto ©

DeRosa (2B)

Cedeno (SS)

I love Pie but it would be sweet to have Dunn, not only for what he brings but the fact that we wouldn't have to play against him anymore lol.

Not that we'd do it, but the Cincinatti Enquirer had an article today saying that Griffey is going to be traded after he hits his 600th HR (at least I think it's 600th), and that Dunn would likely be traded as well.

Gee this is breaking news....

What are the Cubs going to give up? Lets start with Felix Pie.

That would be a NO to either player. But Junior and Dunn has "American League DH" written all over them. No thanks.

Felix Pie for Jay Bruce????

Uh, what? You won't include Pie in a deal for Dunn?

Junior and Dunn both have "free agent after the season" written all over them. Both are most likely going to be rent-a-players.

No I wouldn't. I know Dunn is phenominal masher, but he's a DH playing the field, much like Carlos Lee. I still value defense over offense, over the course of a season. Plus when you take into account the fact that either Soriano or Dunn would be moved to RF, with Fuku moved to CF, I don't Dunn's offense, makes up for as bad that OF defense would be.

Give me Milton Bradley.

if we're trading for an OF - which we shouldn't even be thinking about doing unless one falls in our lap - milton bradley makes a thousand times more sense than adam dunn.

I still don't understand the notion that our outfield defense would be terrible

And replacing Johnson/Pie's bats with Dunn's bat makes up for it anyways

so for a left-fielder their defense is more valuable than their offense? huh?

That didn't make much sense either. Dunn has improved on his defense greatly the last two years as well.

Granted, he has an arm that Juan Pierre would be proud of.

Isn't Milton Bradley the guy who tore his ACL arguing with an ump?

If it's done today and not end of July, I'd be plenty happy with Pie, Marshall, Murton. Whatever beyond that is pretty cool with me. Like I posted in the thread about trade idea's, I wholeheartedly think he would complete this lineup better than anyone else we could have a prayer at getting. (maybe Carl Crawford)

Fuku

Lee

Dunn

Ramirez

Soriano

Soto

Derosa

Cedeno

if you thought matt murton was a hoot in the outfield, wait to you see adam dunn out there.

I'm good with that. Just get his bat in the lineup.

i'd prefer to have a good bat in the lineup along with a solid defender in center field, which is what milton bradley would be. plus his price tag would be lower.

Griffey will be heading back to Seattle after 600. We definitely need a left handed bat but i'm not sure Dunn makes sense in that he's a butcher in the outfield & will be a FA.

Why do we need a left-handed bat when we crush RHP?

it looks prettier to have a lefty batter hitting against a righty pitcher
