ESPN is reporting (on Fantasy MLB Wire) that Chad Fox refused an assignment and has been granted free agency.

 

News: Fox refused a non-roster assignment Saturday and was granted free agency.

 

Spin: He gave up two runs in his only outing.

I haven't seen any corroboration on this yet.

It's most likely a mixup of the Mateo situation, but considering Hendry's love of unnecessary bullpen shuffling, I wouldn't be surprised.

It's most likely a mixup of the Mateo situation, but considering Hendry's love of unnecessary bullpen shuffling, I wouldn't be surprised.

That's what I'm thinking. Perhaps the "source" even was this thread.

That's what I'm thinking. Perhaps the "source" even was this thread.

The source may have been this thread, but I don't think it was a mix up. If they were confusing Mateo and Fox, they wouldn't have included that he gave up two runs in his only outing.
