C'mon Marmol, don't let this be the game you fail us. I will flip out if we lose a game we should have scored like 7 runs in. Edited by UMFan83

I still say the mistake was in the first substitution.

After that, you cannot leave Ward up there to bat against a left-hander. When you then have a left-hander on the mound, you have to pinch-hit Blanco, and then when a right-hander comes into the game, you have to pinch-hit for him.

If you trust Cedeno though, at most you have to use 2 extra players in that inning.

This game and a game a few games ago proves that we need a good right-handed hitter on the bench though. Ward is going to get burned sometimes because they'll put a left-hander in the game, and we need a great pinch-hitter to make them pay for that move.

Jake Fox fill that role? It means Murton goes down though, which to me isnt a bad thing right now considering how Lou is setting up the lineup.

I agree. He never should have subd. Cedeno. That mistake set the daisy chain in motion.

He hasn't really played that much in the majors though. I never really see rookies fair that well PHitting

I just had Deja Vu with the expos in 2004...remember how they destroyed us the final month?

They aren't exactly destroying us though. It's game one in the first game of the season series, and they aren't even beating us right now.

Those 22 games were quite fun to be a Cub fan, but it's good to see the "Old Cubs" make a reappearnce. Well, I won't say "good", but hey the Old Cubs are back...yeah...
