He gets excited way too often over things that don't warrant it (i.e. warning track flies). Don't make me think that Kosuke just hit a HR when the CF is about to catch it.

And it also annoys the hell out of me when he gets that excitement in his voice when the opposition does something good.

I didn't say it was logical. [-(

Feelings towards sports is not logical. There's absolutely no reason for me to hate the Brewers, but I do.

He reflects the energy of the moment, good or bad. You can usually hear the "downness" (for lack of a better word) in his voice at the end of a call when the opposition has done something.

I hate it when announcers for the team I root for also root for that team and get affected by the events of the game. I would rather a mono-tone.

Ramirez must not have read all the "Cubs have patience" articles.

BB Totals so far this year:

Fukudome - 18

Soto - 13

Ramirez - 13

DeRosa - 11

Lee - 9

I realize. But Ramirez doesn't have that patience with him today. Maybe he'll find it later.

Francisco Liriano is getting hammered in Oakland today. He gave up 5 runs on 5 hits and 3 BB's in only 2/3 of an inning and just got removed from the game. There are still two runners on with one out so it could get worse.

I don't mind this dumb strike zone but at least call it both ways. The Cubs are getting hosed on some of these calls.

If we can pull this game out we could have a 3 game lead in the division heading into DC while Milwaukee would have to play florida who has been scoring a lot recently.

Yea, that's exactly what I said. Or not.

Actually, if anything, I would rather he sound a lot more pissed when the opposition does something.

When the opposition is at the plate and I hear the tone of his voice, I'm expecting to hear an out and some sort of good play for the Cubs. Instead, it's a positive play for them. It annoys the piss out of me as I'm also pissed off about the play. Sue me.

He has stupid patience. He doesn't come up to the plate in certain situations to walk. Which sometimes is good because he'll double or HR. But other times, he'll swing at 3 bad pitches and strike out. That said, I think the 13 walks is an abnormality that will straighten itself out by the end of the year, when Ramirez goes back to being the above average .360 OBP guy he is.

Aramis is now batting .333/.333/.667 when putting the first pitch in play this season.

I like it! For some reason I don't feel good about todays game. Although, I felt the same thing last night.

Unlucky for Geo.

8 straight retired by Cook now. Hopefully Pie can end that.

I never feel good about facing the former Expos on the road. We always played like crap in Montreal.
