someone near a mic needs to be beat. I hate when they yell that.

you don't think pie is going to be distracted by a fan behind home plate calling him off?

I have only seen that work ONCE. And it was hilarious. My friend and I were at a Gary Railcats game a year or two ago and the left fielder for...i think it was the joliet team? was going for a fly ball in foul territory and my friend yelled I GOT IT right when the ball was coming down and he flat out dropped an easy catch.

I thought it worked when the girl flashed the Yankee pitcher last year in the playoffs, wasn't the batter but I know the guy on second didn't move after the base hit

A five-pitch inning. Well done, Cubs.

He gets excited way too often over things that don't warrant it (i.e. warning track flies). Don't make me think that Kosuke just hit a HR when the CF is about to catch it.

And it also annoys the hell out of me when he gets that excitement in his voice when the opposition does something good.

I didn't say it was logical. [-(

He reflects the energy of the moment, good or bad. You can usually hear the "downness" (for lack of a better word) in his voice at the end of a call when the opposition has done something.

Ramirez must not have read all the "Cubs have patience" articles.

BB Totals so far this year:

Fukudome - 18

Soto - 13

Ramirez - 13

DeRosa - 11

Lee - 9
