Cardinals are winning 1-0 on another hit for their pitcher.

That's his third RBI of the season, go figure

I love how he was so bad no one wanted him all off season. The Cardinals sign him and right away he is as good as anyone the first month of the season. Unreal.

.227 BAA, 1.37 ERA, 10/5 K/BB

Btw, Kendall and Counsell are the only starters in the Brewers lineup batting over .268

Weeks .176

Braun .247

Fielder .227

Hall .197

Gross .175

Hart .268

Hardy .214

I don't care how good a pitching coach Dave Duncan is. You can't make EVERY crappy pitcher you bring in good. It doesn't happen. I still have yet to hear an explanation as to why the Cardinals got a nice season out of Braden Looper last year throwing over twice as many innings as he'd ever thrown in his career.

It wouldn't suprise me at all to find out they were cheating. Look at how the steroids have followed LaRussa's teams.

Ludwick singles in Barton, 2-0 Cardinals

.388 BA, 1.281 OPS for Generic White Cardinals' Minor League Outfielder X.

Barton has a .333 BA, .894 Ops going on right now, imagine if he was white

ps. i'm not racist, it was a joke...

Even the Brewers announcers were saying that this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the cards or they wouldn't have kept Barton. But, they then said the Cardinals were in first place. Sorry guys the Cubs still exist.

Speaking of which, whither John Rodriguez?

B-R has no record of him leaving the Cardinals' organization after the former PTBNL OPS'd over .800 for two straight years in 05 and 06.

I'm in a very anti-Cardinals mood for some reason today.

Exactly, the Brewers bats will pick up. We need to gain as much ground as we can.

Lohse's ERA would be half of what it is now if LaRussa hadn't stupidly let Lohse start the 8th against Milwaukee last week. He gave up 2 runs without getting an out.

Counsell keeps padding that .360 BA with a single to left. 1st and 2nd, 1 out with braun up for the brewers

Braun brings them both in with a DEEP double, 2-2
