Let's forget about the circumstances of the major league club for a moment. Has there ever been a less deserving April call-up? I wonder if this is what the Giants think a good youth movement is: fast-tracking a C prospect who spent less time in the minors than many elite bonus babies.

This is a cute youth movement. Brian Bocock and Emmanuel Burriss, your INFIELD OF THE FUTURE. If that doesn't put asses in seats I don't know what will.

Maybe a guffaw..but they both played for the minor league team i worked for last summer so its pretty cool seeing them make it to the big leagues!

I guess they figure they wont be contending any time soon, so they may as well give their top prospects a little extended-extended Spring Training.

The only teams that are experiencing extended-extended Spring Training are those playing the Giants.

I think Sabean is pulling a Littlefield. On his way out hes going to sink the mofo. Hes also probably pulling a Dusty by saying, fine you want a youth movement, we'll bring these guys up and they'll suck hardcore and then you'll be crying for Rich Aurilia (like what Dusty said about not playing rookies because he didn't have any worth playing). The only problem with that is that Sabean is the one thats responsible for the organization and its minor league players (and that he was the one not producing any rookies for Dusty).

When did Brian Bocock become a top prospect, as someone above mentioned? He's got some really ugly minor league numbers.

A) It was LLF. No offense, but I don't think he knows anything about the Giants minor league system

B) He did say "their top prospects" :D
