Okay, if I were offered the opportunity to place a bet on whether Daytona's season OBP would be higher than their SLG, I'd seriously have to debate it.

Iowa lost 5-0 and managed only 3 hits.

 

Daytona scored 9 runs and won. They got 4 XBH including 1 HR from Jonathan Wyatt. :shock: Maestri: 4.2 IP, 2 ER, 8 H, 6 K/2 BB.

Tennessee tied 2-2 in the 5th inning. Veal's final line: 4 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 6 K/4 BB. I'm guessing he racked up the pitches.

 

Peoria up 3-1 in the 7th inning. Cabrera's final line: 5 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 1 K/2 BB.

Tennessee wins 5-2 after getting a 3 spot in the 5th. Shaver, Roquet, and Avery combined to throw five no-hit innings in relief. Robinson Chirinos went 2/5 with two doubles and an RBI. Matt Craig was 2/4 with a walk and a run driven in. Even Ryan Harvey went 2/4 today.

 

Peoria defeated Burlington 3-2. Cabrera got the win and Muschko got the save, although it was shaky. He allowed a homer in the 9th to cut the Peoria lead to 1, but he was able to hold on and preserve the win. Blake Lalli had three hits, including a two-run homer in the 1st. Mario Mercedes was 2/3 for the Chiefs.

Nice to see an effective start by Cabrera. Peoria has gotten some strong rotation pitching.

 

Although a lot of the good outings have been relatively low-K, Peoria and elsewhere (Cabrera, Siegfried, Russell, Samardz).
