If Wood gets the first two batters out, he better hit the third.

I'll take the win an not screw around. We have hit them quite a few times as well.

Pie NEEDS to run!

I'd be all for that. Get inside their heads a little bit.

There it is. Pie steals 2nd.

I get the feeling there was a "run at will" order from the bench, but not because they can, because they want to embarrass Kendall and piss off MIL.

So I take it Felix is ok?

He must be. Although I wouldn't be shocked if he's day-to-day after today. From what it sounded like the pitch hit him flush on the hand/wrist.

Ugh, I know it's absolutely ridiculous, but I'm honestly annoyed at this situation. I want to see Wood come in and nail the game down, DAMNIT.

Ward gets the walk.

Outside of Fukudome, I think Ward may have the best approach at the plate of our hitters.

I think a good pinch-hitter off the bench is an extremely undervalued commodity these days. Look at what Ward did for us last year, and what PH's like Glenallen Hill did for us in the past. Those are very valuable members of the team.

Watching patient hitters bat is really enjoyable.

Honestly, you're nuts.

I know, I know.

If you want to watch a bunch of base-cloggers that's your business. But I watch to see HITTING, not WALKING.

Watching them bat for the Cubs is enjoyable, watching them bat for other teams is frustrating and at times depressing.

Good thing Pie got hit...I seem to remember Turnbow being really effective last year when he got the first batter out, but if the batter got on, he tended to have serious trouble.
