I'll be receiving DLee and Bobby Jenks. I'll be giving up Pujols.

I'm pretty much leaning heavily on taking it, but sometimes Cubs cloud my better judgment.

I'd do it if Jenks is much of an upgrade over your current closers. Pujols' elbow makes him a big question mark this year.

Is it a keeper league? If hes a keeper then you gotta stick with him. If not, then you must have drafted him for a reason.

Based on his attitude last year and this offseason (cards fans can correct me if I'm wrong here) I'd be worried about him giving up on the season if the cards are decently out of it a few months in and opting for season ending surgery.

I can't say definitively you're wrong, but from where I'm sitting you are.

He has put off the surgery for the last 4 years precisely because he doesn't want to miss any time if he can help it.

I got Albert Pujols in the third round of a draft the other day.

This really has nothing to do with this thread, but there you go.

Take it. That's a good return for Pujols and his shredded wheat elbow. That won't hold up all year, and if it somehow does, it'll greatly affect his offensive output.

i have little doubt it'll hold up, but the cards are going to be so awful the FO will just say screw it and theyll do the surgery in august to get him ready for 2009 when they wont contend either but they think they will

I would do it. Get rid of him now while you still can.

I traded Pujols in the offseason of our keeper league for Sizemore and two higher end prospects (Brignac/Scherzer). I had the same concerns as many people do about his elbow.

Remember a few years back when Pujols had plantar fasciitis and people said "Oh, it's the same thing that ended McGwires career" and "He won't last much longer" and "It's really starting to hamper him" then Pujols continued to be the best player in the league?

Just saying I'll believe the injury crap when I see it. As far as the trade goes, if your closers are lacking, it may be a good trade. Just my opinion, but I expect Lee to hit 30+ home runs. I think he's found his stroke again, as was evident by the last half of the 2007 season. I think he's going to be one of the top 1B in the league again
